Tip: Choose the hand that feels right to you – tradition can be decisive, but it doesn't have to be.

Yes, that does matter! Many people have slightly different finger circumferences on their left and right hands – usually the dominant hand (the right hand for right-handed people) is a bit stronger. If you know which hand the ring will be worn on, you should measure that finger to get an accurate result.

Your fingers change size throughout the day: they are often slightly slimmer in the morning and usually somewhat fuller in the evening. The best time to measure them is therefore in the late afternoon or evening – this provides the average measurement for your daily circumference.

Also important : Make sure your hands are neither too cold nor too hot when measuring – both can distort the result.

The wider a ring is, the tighter it usually feels. Rings wider than approximately 6 mm often need to be half a size or even a full size larger. This is because wider models have less room at the knuckle. For an optimal fit, the ring should glide comfortably over the knuckle – but still fit securely.

The Multisizer is a clever mini-tool that works like a small belt. You place it around your finger, tighten it so that it fits comfortably but securely – and then read the ring size directly through the viewing window.

Important: The multisizer should glide easily over the finger joint, but not be too loose. This way you can easily and reliably find your correct size.

Our ring sizer is quick, easy to use – and ideal when you don't have a ring handy. It's made of durable, recycled plastic and contains 18 removable ring sizes – from size 38 to 72, in convenient increments of two. Simply tear out the appropriate insert, slide it over your finger, and check if it fits comfortably.

If it's too loose : try the smaller size.
If it gets too tight : better to take a larger size.
In between : If one insert is too tight and the next one is already too loose, your size lies in between – for example, between 52 and 54, it is most likely the 53.

The most accurate way is to visit us in person – using professional measuring tools like ring mandrels and sample rings, we determine your exact ring size at every Rhomberg branch. We also pay attention to ring width, style, and how the ring feels in everyday life.

Individual on-site consultation
Our personal consultation is the safest method – for you alone or if you're choosing together. For a no-obligation initial consultation, we recommend around 90 minutes so you can try on and compare rings at your leisure. Together, we'll discuss all the details: shape, proportions, color, and material – for rings that fit perfectly.

Tip for surprises
Want to surprise someone with a ring – for example, for an engagement? Ideally, bring along an existing ring of theirs – preferably from their right hand or another finger. If that's not possible, we'll gladly advise you on alternatives that will still get you as close as possible to the right size.
